Land Registry

The Registrar has the responsibility of holding and maintaining the Alderney Land Register. The provisions of the Alderney Land & Property etc. Law, 1949 apply. The Law can be viewed at:http://www.guernseylegalresources.gg

The Land Register contains information relating to Property Details, Ownership Details, Adverse Entries (for example charges against the property) and Minor Interests (for example rights existing against another property). The Land Registrar guarantees the title and can provide an extract from the Land Registry and an Index Map, which shows the location and general extent of the land contained in the Register.  The Alderney Land Registry does not guarantee land boundaries.
